C. S. Lewis book 2 of a series of 7 books |

| This book was written a long
time ago (not like Charles Dickens books but quite old). It is book two out of a set of
seven books about the land of Narnia. C.S. Lewis wrote it in a way that he thought it
would be able to help children understand about Jesus. Like, Aslan (the Lion) is Jesus and
Jadis (the White Witch) is the devil. I think this works a bit if someone tells you about
it but people who don't know about Jesus may not notice it and may think it is just
Fantasy. I mean they may not see his message. It is a good book anyway. It is a very descriptive book. It is easy to see the creatures and lands in your mind so the story is very easy to take in. I read it very quickly and could not wait for the next Narnia story. In the story, four children find their way into the magical land of Narnia and help Aslan to destroy the evil White witch. There are lots of adventures and battles. I liked the imaginary creatures especially Mr Tumnus the Faun. None of it was boring. Aslan was my favourite. I would have liked to be Peter especially at the end. I would recommend this book to ages 5 onwards. Some of the younger ones may find it hard to read themselves. My mum still enjoys it so I guess even adults can read it. I have read all the books in the series. Iestyn Evans |
