| This is the fourth book in the Harry Potter
series and it is twice as large as any of the other books. You might think that by the
fouth book, Hogwarts would start to get boring - but it DOES NOT! This is a FANTASTIC book
and it was even better than usual because it was longer so it did not run out as quickly
and I had more time to spend in Hogwarts :) I love the world that J. K. Rowlings has created and since I have read her books, I am very sorry to be a 'muggle'. As soon as I start to read them then I am there in Hogwarts with Harry and Ron, flying on my firebolt and winning the World Cup. I love the puzzles and mysteries and try my best to solve them before Harry does. This book was soooo good that even the fact that Harry fancies girls could not spoil it! I read it from cover to cover, only stopping when I had to for food, sleep or school. I had to be quick anyway, because my Mum was waiting for it! She loves them too. This fourth book starts with Harry stuck at the Dursleys - I love it when he is at the Dursleys - the way they are so embarrased by him and the way they are always made fools of. I travelled with Harry to visit Ron and watch the Quidditch World Cup and then on to Hogwarts for his fourth year there. The big shock and disappointment of the year was that Quidditch was cancelled at the school! It was replaced by the Triwizard tournament, a dangerous contest of skill and cunning in which the three most famous Wizard Schools enter their champions. Harry's name somehow gets entered as part of a plot by you-know-who and Harry has to use all his wits to stay alive. It was exciting, funny, captivating and thrilling and if you have not read it yet .... what are you waiting for?? I am now re-reading all 4 and I cannot wait for number 5 so hurry up please Ms. Rowling! Iestyn Evans 1st July 2000 |
