| This is the 8th book in the Redwall series and it is as
exciting, action packed and well-written as ever! Mattimeo is Redwalls' warrior's son and he is very important to the abbey. Mattimeo has a happy life at Redwall Abbey with just a few disappointments until Slagar The Cruel, a slaver fox and his band of vermin come to Redwall disguised as travelling performers! They capture all the youngsters there and take them to a place far away from Redwall where they are destined for work! Can Matthias the Redwall warrior find the youngsters? Will they get back to the abbey? 'Mattimeo' is full of all the characters and funny personalities that all the other books contain that make Redwall such an excellent series. I think that Brian Jaques is an excellent author and he has done well to come up with such excellent books he is very imaginative and seems to make all his stories real! Iestyn Evans 1st July 2000 |
