this book! It was wicked and just as good as the first one in the series. In this book Oswald is very ill. To try and get help Audry has to agree to look after Madam Akkikuyu - the rat witch. She has to promise to leave Deptford and go with her and Twit to Twit's home in the country - the beautiful Fennywold. The trouble is that Fennywold is heading for trouble and Audry, Twit and Arthur will be right in the middle of it all. This was an exciting book and I found parts of it quite creepy. The "straw man" was especially creepy. Again it is well written and uses a wide vocabulary which I like becuase I like to learn new words. Read it and find out if the powers of evil triumph in Fennywold. I am waiting for book 3 now! Iestyn Evans |
