This is the second book about the Demon Headmaster. I enjoyed the first one so much I went and got some more! This one is about the same characters but this time they are not at school and of course he is no longer their headmaster.

They are on school holidays and they notice everyone is playing a computer screen puzzle game called Octopus which is really hypnotising them! Someone is trying to find the cleverest students in the country so that they can come to a computer lab for the final round of the Junior Computer Brain of the Year competition.

Dinah is very clever and gets to the final round but she and her friends are worried by the octopusses and the rest of the SPLAT (The Society for the Protection of our Lives Against THEM) organisation follow her. They find their old enemy who is now the Computer Director and they have to try and spoil his plans for overtaking the Prime Minister.

I did enjoy this book but it was not as exciting as the first one and the Computer Director did not seem as scarey as the Demon Headmaster. I know it was a TV series but I have not seen it. I have seen the latest one though about the 5th book I think and it is good.

I have bought some more in the series. I think Mark Longworth did another great cover too
